Quranic Instructions on pestiliness and greed

Surah No.3 , Al Imraan , Ayat No.180

وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَر

لَّهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلِلّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاللّهُ

o بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ

خَلُوْنَ180)

اور جو لوگ اس چیز پر بخل کرتے ہیں جو اللہ نے ان کو اپنے فضل سے دی ہے وہ یہ خیال نہ کریں کہ بخل ان کے حق میں بہتر ہے، بلکہ یہ ان کے حق میں برا ہے، قیامت کے دن وہ مال طوق بنا کر ان کے گلوں میں ڈالا جائے گا جس میں وہ بخل کرتے تھے، اور اللہ ہی آسمانوں اور زمین کا وارث ہے، اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ اسے جانتا ہے۔

تعارف

Translation :

*And those people who miserly hoard up ,what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty think that it is beneficial for them. Nay ! it is worst for them. Because of this miserly act ,an iron collar will also be tied around their neck on the Day of Resurrection. The heavens and the earth are the heritage of Allah , and Allah is Informed of what you do .*

Surah No. 4, An Nisa, Ayat No. 37

الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ وَيَكْتُمُونَ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا

o لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا

Translation :

*Allah does not like those people who are miser and advise others for miserliness, they hoard their wealth and hide which Allah has granted to them of His bounty. For such unbelievers We have prepared a shameful punishment.

جو لوگ بخل کرتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو بخل سکھاتے ہیں اور اسے چھپاتے ہیں جو اللہ نے انہیں اپنے فضل سے دیا ہے ، اور ہم نے کافروں کے لیے ذلت کا عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے۔

_Surah Nisa 4:37_

*Jo log khud  _bakheeli_ kertay hain aur doosron ko bhi  _bakheeli_ kerney ko kehtay hain aur Allah Taalaa ney jo apna fazal unhen dey rakha hai ussay chupa letay hain hum ney  _aisey nashukron kay liye_ zillat ki maar tayyar ker rakhi hai.*

Surah No. 17, Al Isra (Bani Isreal), Ayat No. 29

o وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَةً إِلَى عُنُقِكَ وَلاَ تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ الْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُومًا مَّحْ 

كُلَّ الْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُوْمًا مَّحْسُوْرًا (29)

اور اپنا ہاتھ اپنی گردن کے ساتھ بندھا ہوا نہ رکھ اور نہ اسے کھول دے بالکل ہی کھول دینا پھر تو پشیمان تہی دست ہو کر بیٹھ رہے گا۔

Translation :

*And let not your hand be chained to your neck nor stretch it to its full reach, so that you sit down with lot of blames and then remain in poverty .*

Surah No. 92, Al Lail, Ayats No. 8 to 11

o فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى o وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى o وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَوَاسْتَغْنَى

o وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّى

Translation :

But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient and behaves carelessly. And disbelieves the Best. We will indeed make the Path smooth for his Misery; His wealth will not profit him when he falls headlong (into the grave).
